Anna – this ginger from Disney’s Frozen was voiced by Kristen Bell. Often gingers in film are portrayed as mean or villainous, so kudos to Disney for having so many heroic redheads (they do have ginger villains though). For cats who (when playing with toys) just can’t “let it go.”

Anna Mercury – a red-headed comic book heroine that works for the British Ministry of Defense to help keep advanced weaponry from being used by primitive worlds. She is the main character in the comics of the same name and has no superpowers. She is trained in both armed and hand-to-hand combat (and is extremely acrobatic).
Archie Andrews – an iconic redhead from the Archie comics that is known for his love-triangle relationship with Betty and Veronica. The comic is also the basis for the 2017 TV show Riverdale.
Banshee – a red-headed Irish mutant from the X-Men comics whose special power is a sonic scream. His cousin is the villain Black Tom (who is the enemy of both the X-men and Deadpool).
Barbara Gordon – is the real identity of the red-headed Batgirl from the Batman comics. She is the daughter of Police Commissioner James Gordon and was originally partnered with Robin. Eventually, she becomes a hacker/information specialist called Oracle.
Batwoman – a red-headed heroine from the Batman comics who eventually gets her own comic series titled, wait for it, Batwoman. Her real identity is Katherine Kane, but there are two versions of her (Marvel re-vamped her character in 2006). The original is called Kathy and is a love interest for Batman. Cheryl Blossom – a redhead from the Archie comics who was a love interest for the main character Archie. She has a twin brother named Jason and a dog named Sugar. Supposedly, she was written out of the original comics because she was deemed too sexy for a children’s comic.
Daredevil – a red-headed (and red-costumed) Marvel superhero who was blinded by radioactive material, which in turn heightened his other senses. His real name is Matthew “Matt” Murdock. For truly daring cats who are “without fear.”
Flash or The Flash – a red-haired superhero who has superhuman speed. There have been four different versions of The Flash in the DC Comics universe: Jay Garrick, Barry Allen, Wally West, and Bart Allen. And all the Flash characters have been a member of one of DC’s major teams (the Justice Society of America, the Justice League, and the Teen Titans).
Garfield – an iconic orange cat in the daily newspaper comic of the same name who was known for his love of food and lazy demeanor. You could also name companion cats Jon and Odie.
Guy Gardner – the real identity of one of the Green Lanterns. This red-headed superhero is the second Green Lantern to be chosen from Earth (the Green Lantern Corps is an intergalactic police/military force). A good choice for cats who love to play with rings.
Heathcliff – no, not the Wuthering Heights character. An orange cat in the daily newspaper comic of the same name that was created by George Gately in 1973. The character also spawned two TV shows, several comic books, and a film (Heathcliff: The Movie).
Hobbes – a stuffed tiger in the daily newspaper comic Calvin and Hobbes which ran from 1985 to 1995. It was written and drawn by cartoonist Bill Watterson (who also did 19 official Calvin and Hobbes books). For cats who are hopelessly bad at math but are still your best friend.
Hope Summers – a red-haired mutant from the X-Men comics. She is the adopted daughter of Cable (the son of Cyclops) and can duplicate other mutant’s powers (known as Power Mimicry).
Jean Grey – an iconic red-haired member of the X-Men who has telepathic and telekinetic powers. You could also name your cat after some of her other aliases throughout the comic book series: Marvel Girl, Phoenix, or Dark Phoenix.

Knockout – a red-headed villainess who was a former member of the Female Furies (a trained group of women loyal to the villain Darkseid). Lyra – the red-headed daughter of the Hulk and Thundra (from an alternate timeline). She is the second She-Hulk in the Marvel universe. The first is Jennifer Walters (in the original timeline) who is a cousin of the Hulk who receives his blood after she is injured (but she has dark hair).
Mary Jane Watson – a redhead who is the love interest (and eventual wife) of Peter Parker aka Spider – Man. She is modeled after the actress Ann-Margret Olsen (specifically her character Kim from the 1963 musical film Bye Bye Birdie which shot her to stardom).
Medusa – a red-headed superhero who first appeared in Marvel’s Fantastic Four comics. She has the psychokinetic ability to be able to animate her hair (which is around 6 feet in length) to do a variety of things (like lift heavy objects). Perfect for long-haired ginger cats.
Mystique – an iconic red-haired mutant from the X-Men comics that is a shapeshifter. She is the mother of Nightcrawler (and adopted mother of Rogue). For cats who have shifty natures.
Poison Ivy – a red-haired villainess from the Batman comics whose real name is Pamela Lillian Isley. She has toxins in her blood that make her touch deadly and can produce pheromones that make people susceptible to mind control. For cats who like to control their owners.
